The 400kA per phase, 200kA per mode PTX400 and PTE400 models of the Protector are designed to safeguard high priority systems and load equipment in heavy industrial environments and applications. These applications demand only the most effective and durable protection available. Installation of the PTX400/PTE400 assures damaging transients are intercepted before they reach critical loads. Effective in stand-alone applications, or as part of the MEM System Shield integrated installationwide protection plan, the PTX400/PTE400 is the answer when downtime is not an option.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:

DESCRIPTION: Parallel configured, 400kA per phase, 200kA per mode Multi-Circuit Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor (MCTVSS) with remote alarm capability.
APPLICATION: Location categories C and B, high exposure level, heavy industrial applications including large service entrances, large switchboards and large individual load isolators.
WARRANTY: 20-Year Free Replacement.

MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

ENCLOSURE: IP66 rated steel weatherproof enclosure.
MOUNTING: Internally threaded conduit fittings with user selected placement in up to four positions and multi-point mounting feet.
CONNECTION: Products accommodate 16mm2 to 50mm2 conductors in box terminals.
SHIPPING WEIGHT: 14kg.

ELECTRICAL AND PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS:

CIRCUIT DESIGN: PTX and PTE units feature parallel configured, Threshold Suppression Network utilising Transient Control System design, circuit encapsulation and Advanced Surge Path Technology. PTE units also incorporate multi-stage, hybrid Active Tracking Network (ATN).
PROTECTION MODES: All Mode: Line to neutral & line to line (normal mode) and line to earth & neutral to earth (common mode).
SUPPLY FREQUENCY: 50-420Hz (50-60Hz with ATN option).
RESPONSE TIME: PTX ≤ 1 nanosecond, PTE Active Tracking Network < 1 nanosecond.
EMI/RFI ATTENUATION: Up to 40dB normal mode, up to 34dB common mode.
CAPACITANCE: 2μF per mode (PTE Models).
Note: For applications where earth leakage current may be of concern, please cut enhanced N-E ATN
protection link on PTE models, or utilise PTX models.
CIRCUIT DIAGNOSTICS: Statscan circuit diagnostics, 1 LED indicator per phase, normally on. Remote alarm via Form C, N/O and N/C volt-free relay contacts, with internal terminal connections (0.5mm2 to 1.0mm2). Optional S.M.A.R.T. diagnostics with surge counter & event history recording.
